Honestly, the changes Fantasy Flight Games made to booster packs that went into effect this set have made it so much more fun to open packs. The elimination of standard foil cards in favor of adding hyperfoils was very welcome. The foiling treatment also doesn't curl anymore which is a plus! Standard prestige cards were added to the packs which has added an extra bit of excitement when opening. Hyperspace cards are also more common. Additionally, unlike Carbonite packs, you are guaranteed a Rare or Legendary card in each pack.
